Too much bureaucracy involving different documents and paperwork is a common pain for all parties: public administrations, maritime authorities, leisure ports/marinas and of course boaters themselves. With this in mind, Nautic Advisor has designed a solution that will help all parties transfer data in a very simple way. The overall idea is the improvement of urban life starting with the nautical sector “making citizen’s lives easier” thanks to an App based on a common architecture using FIWARE for integrated urban/maritime platforms. It offers a system of common procedures to boaters for carrying out any bureaucratic task with the marina (e.g. new arrival registration), maritime authorities and public administrations (e.g. re-issuing documents, coastguard inspections), or even with third parties (yacht brokers buying/selling, insurance renewals). Instant digital document and data sharing avoids huge amounts of paperwork and slow procedures, which represents a significant improvement in itself. However, Nautic Advisor goes even further. The information provided through these protocols about users’ activity will help to integrate new services for final users. We have already an agreement with the first port ERP developer and we are working on the perfect integration of our systems for the automated paper-free port check-in procedure. Digitalizing maritime paperwork is a major improvement for the nautical market, because it saves time and errors and provides a powerful image for the port among its users. Above all, it offers hassle-free bureaucratic procedures for all parties. The Team

Angel Puig has a degree in Business Administration, an MBA (ESADE) and a postgraduate qualification in philosophy and psychology (EEPA). He has been working in start-ups since 1995.

Lluís Ballell has a Master degree in Maritime Science and is a marina boatswain and regatta judge.

Yves Faure is an oceanographer with international business expertise.
